Awareness among youth regarding dengue preventive measures imperative: MD WASA
FAISALABAD, Nov 24 (APP):Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Sohail Qadir Cheema has underscored the need to create awareness among youth regarding preventive measures of dengue mosquitoes.
He clarified that WASA’s CLC staff is active in educating youth about dengue prevention measures by arranging awareness sessions, seminars at educational institutes on a daily basis, which is yielding positive results.
He said that with the change of weather, the chances of mosquito breeding increases and it could be controlled only by intensifying the efforts.
WASA is implementing the SOPs in letter and spirit issued by the Punjab government regarding the anti-dengue campaign, he added.
In this connection, the CLC (Citizen Liaison Cell) staff on Monday arranged an awareness session at Government MC Boys School, small D-ground and gave awareness to the students regarding dengue prevention. The staff also distributed pamphlets among students.
