Attock police crackdown on drug peddling, four arrested with narcotics

ATTOCK, Feb 2 (APP): Attock Police arrested four accused persons involved in drug peddling and recovered a large quantity of narcotics and liquor from their possession, police said on Sunday.
According to police sources, Sub-Inspector Wali Muhammad of Attock Khurd Police Station, along with his team, arrested Nasar Nawaz, son of Muhammad Nawaz, a resident of Faisalabad, during a checking operation and recovered 1,100 grams of heroin from him.
Meanwhile, Assistant Sub-Inspector Babar Riaz of Fateh Jang Police Station apprehended Memraiz Iqbal, a resident of Chasan Wali Dheri, Fateh Jang, and recovered 1,320 grams of charas during a routine checking.
In another operation, Assistant Sub-Inspector Muzammil Shah of Injra Police Station arrested Muhammad Nasir, a resident of Tarap, Jand Tehsil, Attock district, during patrol duty and recovered 1,200 grams of charas from his possession.
Separately, Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Faraz Khan of City Police Station Attock arrested Zeeshan Mahmood Mir, a resident of Dar-ul-Salam Colony, Attock, during patrolling and recovered 10 litres of liquor. The accused was taken into custody and sent behind bars.
Cases have been registered against all the arrested accused under relevant sections of law, and further investigations are underway.
A spokesperson for Attock Police said that the crackdown against drug dealers and illegal activities would continue in order to ensure peace and safety in the district.
