Attock Police arrest four suspects, recover drugs and illegal weapon in separate operations
ATTOCK, Jun 23 (APP):Attock Police arrested four suspects in separate operations across the district and recovered significant quantities of narcotics, including crystal methamphetamine, hashish and heroin, along with an illegal firearm, officials said on Tuesday.
According to police sources, Assistant Sub-Inspector Amir Nawaz and his team from Saddar Hassan Abdal Police Station recovered 1,100 grams of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ice, from Arbaz Khan, a resident of Hassan Abdal, during a checking operation. In a separate raid, Sub-Inspector Nawash Hussain and his team from Basal/Bahtar Police Station seized 1,300 grams of hashish from Arshad Mahmood, a resident of Jhang in Fateh Jang tehsil.
In another operation, Sub-Inspector Iftikhar Ahmed and personnel from City Attock Police Station recovered 160 grams of ice and 120 grams of heroin from Daniyal Rafaqat, a resident of Khattak Colony, Attock. Police said the suspect was taken into custody and booked under the relevant provisions of the law.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Qamar Abbas and his team from Injra Police Station arrested Zia-ur-Rehman, a resident of Lakarmar in Jand tehsil, after allegedly recovering an illegal .30-bore pistol and ammunition from his possession. Police said cases have been registered against all four suspects and further investigations are underway.
