LAHORE, Oct 06 (APP):An attempt by two passengers from Gujranwala to travel to Europe using fake documents and visit visas was foiled, and both individuals were offloaded. According to FIA sources, the Immigration wing conducted a major operation at Sialkot Airport and detained Muhammad Saleem and Torang Khalid, residents of Gujranwala.
Torang Khalid was attempting to travel to Cyprus on a work visa through flight QR631, carrying a fake Cyprus visa and a counterfeit protector stamp on his passport. He reportedly paid Rs2.2 million to a resident agent in Pasrur. Muhammad Saleem was headed to Tajikistan on a visit visa via flight FZ338. Initial investigations revealed that Saleem had previously traveled to Europe through illegal sea routes and intended to reach Europe illegally from Tajikistan and then via Libya by sea. He paid Rs3.5 million to a resident agent in Gujranwala.
The FIA spokesperson stated that the accused were in contact with these agents. Both were transferred to Composite Circle Gujranwala for further investigation and identification of the agents involved.
