LAHORE, Oct 20 (APP):In a move to provide modern banking facilities and improve passenger convenience, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has decided to install automated teller machines (ATMs) at airports across the country.
According to sources at Allama Iqbal International Airport, the PAA has invited various banks to participate in the initiative. Agreements with multiple banks are currently under consideration to facilitate easy currency transactions and fund transfers for travelers.
The installation of ATMs is planned for major airports including Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Islamabad, as well as regional airports such as Peshawar, Quetta, Sukkur, Gwadar, Skardu, and Gilgit.
The Pakistan Airports Authority has initiated feasibility studies for the project, aiming to modernize airport infrastructure and enhance passenger experience through accessible financial services.
