The Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi deferred the announcement of its reserved verdict in the November 26 protest case involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleema Khan on Friday, setting October 16 as the new date for the judgment due to the presiding judge’s absence.

RAWALPINDI, Oct 09 (APP):The Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi deferred the announcement of its reserved verdict in the November 26 protest case involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleema Khan on Friday, setting October 16 as the new date for the judgment due to the presiding judge’s absence.
The court had originally reserved its judgment on September 22 following the conclusion of arguments from both the defense and prosecution teams. However, the verdict’s pronouncement has faced successive delays, having previously been postponed from September 25 to October 1, then to October 9, and now rescheduled to mid-October.
The case stems from an FIR registered against Aleema Khan over her alleged role in facilitating, inciting, and participating in unlawful public assemblies and anti-government demonstrations held on November 26.
