LAHORE, May 30 (APP):An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday confirmed the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders — Ghulam Mohiuddin Dewan, Ali Imtiaz Warraich, and another in two cases related to the October-5 protest and violence against police.
ATC Judge Arshad Javed conducted proceedings on the bail applications, wherein Ghulam Mohiuddin Dewan, Ali Imtiaz Warraich and Rizwan Riaz appeared before the court upon expiry of their interim bail.
Following arguments from both sides, the court confirmed interim bail of the three accused and directed each to submit surety bonds worth Rs100,000.
During the proceedings, police presented their investigation report and informed the court that the accused had allegedly incited PTI workers to attack police personnel during the October 5 protest.
The FIRs against Ghulam Mohiuddin Dewan, Ali Imtiaz Warraich, and others were registered at Lorri Adda and Masti Gate police stations.
