Assistant Commissioner chairs key meeting on Muharram arrangements in Tando Ada
SANGHAR, Jun 15 (APP):A significant meeting regarding Muharram-ul-Haram arrangements was held at the office of the Assistant Commissioner Tando Adam, chaired by Assistant Commissioner Hunain Tariq Shahani.
The meeting was attended by representatives of various religious organizations of Tehsil Tando Adam, including the Shia Ulema Council, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), traders’ associations, Rangers, police officials (SHOs), and representatives of concerned government departments.
Prominent participants also included President Anjuman Safeena-e-Ahl-e-Bait Rais Habib Khan Mari, Mukhtiarkar Tando Adam Imamuddin Larak, Chief Municipal Officer Malik Abdul Hameed, and representatives of the traders’ community Iqbal Bhatti and Habib Bhahlam, among others.
The meeting reviewed arrangements for maintaining law and order during Muharram, ensuring foolproof security, and improving administrative coordination. Special focus was placed on cleanliness along routes of processions and majalis, uninterrupted electricity and gas supply, and addressing potential load-shedding concerns.
It was also emphasized that enhanced security arrangements should be ensured through effective coordination between law enforcement agencies and the district administration.
Speaking on the occasion, the Assistant Commissioner stated that maintaining peace and providing necessary facilities to citizens during Muharram is the top priority of the administration. He said that all possible measures would be taken to ensure uninterrupted provision of basic facilities along procession routes, while a comprehensive security plan would be implemented in close coordination with security agencies.
He further stressed the importance of religious harmony, tolerance, and mutual respect during Muharram, terming it essential for maintaining peace in society.
The Assistant Commissioner directed all concerned departments to promptly resolve public issues and ensure the availability of essential services along procession routes. He added that all institutions must work in close coordination to ensure peaceful observance of Muharram in the area.
