KARACHI, Oct 16 (APP):Grand Master of Martial Arts, Mohammad Ashraf Tai currently suffering health issues, appealed to the governments for his medical treatment assistance.
Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Thursday regarding his academies, Master Tai revealed that both the historical “Gowans Cricket Club” located at Numaish Chowrangi and his “Tai Karate Academy” in Korangi are situated in rented buildings, which have become a significant financial burden. He mentioned that due to a decrease in the number of trainees, it has become increasingly difficult to cover the rental expenses, adding to his mental stress.
He has requested to the government to allot these academies under his name, to preserve these historical institutions and promote karate as a sport in Pakistan. “I have devoted over half a century of my life to this sport, working to establish karate as a recognized sport in Pakistan,” Master Tai stated.
Master Tai also made a heartfelt appeal to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Minister for Health, and the Governor of Sindh, requesting that his academy in Korangi be allotted to him.
