PESHAWAR, Jul 30 (APP): A high-level meeting was held at the Department of Local Government under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister Arshad Ayub Khan here Wednesday, to discuss the inclusion of the Makhniyal area in the Urban Area Development Authority (UADA) Haripur.
The meeting was attended by Revenue Minister Nazir Ahmed Abbasi, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption Muhammad Musaddiq Abbasi, Special Assistant for Environment Masoor Khan, Secretary Local Government Saqib Raza Aslam and other relevant officials.
A detailed review of the implementation of the cabinet decision regarding the inclusion of Makhniyal (including Barkot, Garam Thor, Muslimabad, and Khairan) within the jurisdiction of UADA Haripur was held.
All ministers and officials shared their views on this important matter.
It was agreed in the meeting that the development of a comprehensive and integrated policy framework is essential for better urban planning, environmental protection, and enforcement of construction regulations in the area.
Minister Arshad Ayub Khan directed that a sub-committee should be formed to conduct a detailed assessment of the legal status of land, ownership conditions, and development needs in Makhniyal and propose a comprehensive framework for UADA.
He assured full cooperation from the Local Government Department in this regard.
