Armed Services Board meeting held to address issues of martyrs’ families, retired personnel

SUKKUR, Nov 20 (APP): A meeting of the District Armed Services Board was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sukkur Nadir Shahzad Khan at the DC Office Sukkur here on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Major (Retired) Ehtesham, Deputy Director of the District Armed Services Board, and officials from various federal and provincial departments.

The meeting reviewed issues related to the families of martyrs, retired military personnel, and pending pensions, service benefits, financial assistance, and other welfare matters.

The participants highlighted the challenges faced by the families of martyrs and retired personnel, and instructions were issued to the concerned departments for their immediate resolution.

DC Nadir Shahzad Khan emphasized that the sacrifices of martyrs are a proud part of the country’s history and that serving their families and addressing the issues of retired personnel is a priority. He directed the concerned departments to resolve the issues of martyrs’ families and retired personnel without any delay and to prioritize their cases.

The meeting also decided to resolve the difficulties faced by martyrs’ families in obtaining pensions and other financial benefits and to prepare a comprehensive report on all pending cases for the next meeting. The martyrs were hailed as true heroes of the country’s security, and their sacrifices were paid tributes.
