SARGODHA, Oct 08 (APP):On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Captain (R) Muhammad Waseem, Assistant Commissioner Shahpur Dr Abid Mumtaz presided over a meeting to review anti-smog measures in the region.
According to the official spokesperson here, the session was attended by officers from the Environment, Agriculture, Livestock, Traffic Police, Municipal Committee, and other relevant departments.
The participants reviewed field activities related to smog prevention, including curbing the burning of crop residues, monitoring brick kilns and industrial units, vehicle emissions testing, and ongoing public awareness campaigns.
On the occasion, the AC emphasized that all departments must ensure close coordination and strict implementation of anti-smog directives. “Negligence in this regard would not be tolerated”, he warned.
He further stated that reducing environmental pollution and protecting public health require concrete and collective action from all stakeholders.
