PESHAWAR, Oct 16 (APP):A seven-day anti-polio campaign is actively underway across the provincial capital, with health teams working to vaccinate hundreds of thousands of children under five.
Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Sanaullah Khan, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Babar Khan Tanoli, visited health centers and field teams on Warsak Road to review arrangements and team performance.
A total of 2,445 teams are participating in the campaign—including 191 fixed teams at health centers, 246 transit teams at key locations, and 2,008 mobile teams conducting door-to-door visits.
Deputy Commissioner Sanaullah Khan directed officials to show zero negligence, emphasizing that polio eradication remains a top government priority.
He urged parents to cooperate with vaccination teams to protect children from the disease.
