DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 11 (APP):The district administration has launched a massive an anti-encroachment campaign to improve traffic flow and ensure convenience for people.
As part of the ongoings drive, a major operation in Jogianwala Bazaar, by Assistant Commissioner Syed Muhammad Arsalan with support from DSP Traffic, TMO D.I. Khan, Tehsildar, Revenue Staff, TMA, and WSSC anti-encroachment teams.
During the operation, both temporary and permanent encroachments established on the right of way and drainage channels were completely removed.
Unauthorized stairs, grills, tandoors, stands, and other illegal structures were demolished to reclaim public spaces.
Officials said that the drive would not only help in improving traffic flow but also bring significant improvement in the drainage and sewerage systems.
Assistant Commissioner Syed Muhammad Arsalan, while supervising the operation, said:
“Encroachments cause inconvenience to the public and disrupt city order. The campaign will continue without discrimination, and all shopkeepers are directed to voluntarily remove any encroachments or face strict legal action.”
The district administration reiterated its commitment that the anti-encroachment campaign will continue in the coming days to ensure a cleaner, safer, for all citizens. APP/slm
