DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 18 (APP): The ongoing anti-encroachment drive in Tehsil Dera Ismail Khan continued on the directives of the district administration, aimed at improving traffic flow and ensuring public convenience.
Led by Assistant Commissioner Syed Muhammad Arsalan, the latest operation was carried out in Sadar Police Station Chowk, Canal Road, New Sabzi Mandi Road and Grid Road.
The officials from the traffic police, TMO Dera, Tehsildar Office, revenue staff, TMA’s anti-encroachment unit, WSSC teams and local police participated in the coordinated action.
Various permanent and temporary encroachments including staircases, ramps, sheds, tandoors, stands and other illegal structures were removed during the operation.
The administration said the effort is expected to ease congestion and facilitate smoother movement for the public. The shopkeepers and traders have been advised to clear all encroachments voluntarily to avoid strict action.
