PESHAWAR, Jul 14 (APP):The Awami National Party (ANP) on Monday submitted an attention notice in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly condemning murder of its senior leader and peace activist, Maulana Khanzeb, in Bajaur district.
The notice, filed by ANP MPA Arbab Usman, expressed grave concern over the targeted killing, which occurred on July 10 at Shindagi Mor.
The ANP described Maulana Khanzeb as a dedicated patriot and advocate for peace, emphasizing that his killing not only represents a significant loss but also casts doubt on the provincial government’s ability to ensure security.
Demanding an immediate and impartial investigation, the party urged authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice and take measures to prevent such incidents in the future. The notice underscored the need for transparency in the probe to restore public confidence in this regard.
