LAHORE, Jul 11 (APP):The district administration got arrested 12 people for profiteering
and registered cases against seven individuals here on Tuesday.
According to a spokesman for the Deputy Commissioner office, a total of 2922 locations were checked in the city during the last 24 hours, and a total fine of Rs 500,000 was imposed on 126 violators.
On the directive of DC Lahore Rafia Haider, surprise inspections were conducted by field officers, ensuring stringent enforcement across markets.
Assistant Commissioner Shalimar Anam Fatima visited Singhpura fruit and vegetable market and got arrested 3 individuals for price violations.
DC Lahore Rafia Haider has affirmed that administrative officers were closely monitoring vegetable and fruit prices and intensive monitoring of bidding process in markets was also ongoing.
To stabilize bread prices at Rs 14, efforts were underway as per the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, she added.
