KARACHI, September 07 (APP):The Anosh Foundation organized special activities to mark Defence Day, paying rich tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces, martyrs, and veterans for their unmatched courage in safeguarding the nation.
As part of the commemoration, the Foundation unveiled a patriotic float in Karachi adorned with images of Chief of Army Staff General Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, other services chiefs, martyrs, and war veterans. The float toured various parts of the city, where documentaries on the freedom movement were screened, alongside historic speeches of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the national anthem, and patriotic songs that infused the atmosphere with zeal and national spirit.
To engage the younger generation, the Foundation distributed national flags, badges, caps, sweets, and other patriotic items among children. Similar activities were also held on the occasion of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, further promoting the message of unity and devotion to the country.
Speaking to APP, Dr. Anosh Ahmed, a renowned Pakistani-American businessman, philanthropist, and founder of the Anosh Foundation, emphasized that Defence Day is a reminder of the unparalleled sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces during the 1965 war. He said just as the forces defended the nation with courage in 1965, they again displayed exceptional bravery and commitment during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos Operation’s Marka-e-Haq (The Battle of Truth) in May 2025.
“September 6 is not merely a day of remembrance, but a lesson for future generations,” Dr. Anosh said. “It teaches us unity, sacrifice, and patriotism. The youth must carry this spirit forward through education, hard work, and strong character to ensure Pakistan’s development and prosperity.”
Dr. Anosh stressed that every Pakistani has a duty to contribute to national stability and progress, adding, “When the nation moves forward together, no power can harm us.”
