RAWALPINDI, Jan 06 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted four operations across the country, leading to the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of as many as 1,532.11 kg of drugs valued at over Rs 151.2 million, the force spokesman said on Tuesday.
In a domestic drug interdiction operation at the Haji Shah bus terminal in Attock district, ANF officials recovered 960 grams of hashish from a vehicle and arrested one suspect.
In a separate operation near the city bypass in Sukkur, 150 grams of cocaine were seized from a vehicle, resulting in the arrest of another suspect.
In Balochistan’s Pishin district, ANF recovered 1,500 kg of hashish (garda) from an area near Shadzai Sarnan during an operation, although no arrests were reported.
In another operation in Goth Sher Khan, Hub district, officials recovered 31 kg of heroin hidden in bushes, the ANF said.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway.
