RAWALPINDI, Oct 23 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting 6 operations across the country, recovered as many as 15.016 kilograms of drugs worth Rs 3.2 million and arrested 6 suspects, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Thursday.
He informed that 300 ecstasy pills weighing 200 grams were recovered from the possession of an accused near the university area, in Peshawar.
The arrested accused confessed to selling drugs to the students of educational institutions.
During another operation,0.542 kg of heroin capsules were recovered from the stomach of a Bahrain-bound passenger at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
As many as 52 grams of weed were recovered from a parcel sent from the UK at the courier office in Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.
In another action,10.8 kg of opium was recovered from the secret compartments of a mini truck near Sheikhupura Interchange and the accused was arrested.
As much as 2.4 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of an accused near Umar Gul Road, Custom Chowk, Peshawar.
Similarly,1.022 kg of hashish was recovered from a parcel sent from Rawalpindi at the courier office in Jhelum, and 2 accused were arrested.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
