ANF recovers over 111 kg drugs in nine operations

RAWALPINDI, Feb 17 (APP):Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting nine operations across the country managed to recover over 111 kg drugs worth Rs 12.6 million and arrested seven accused, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman here on Monday.
He informed that in an operation, 40 intoxicated tablets were recovered from the possession of an accused rounded up near a university in Rawalpindi.
500 grams hashish was recovered from the possession of an accused arrested near a university in Attock.
The arrested accused confessed to selling drugs to the students of educational institutions.
In third operation, 1.850 kg ice absorbed in ladies’ clothes was recovered from a parcel booked for Australia through a courier office in Karachi.
700 grams opium hidden in a pillow cover recovered from a parcel booked for Australia through a courier office in Karachi.
40 kg hashish was recovered from a deserted area of Gwadar in Balochistan.
30 kg hashish hidden in a vehicle near Railway Phatak Mianwali on Kala Bagh Road was recovered and an accused was arrested during the operation.
27.6 kg hashish and 3.6 kg opium hidden in two motorcycles near Glutian Mor Daska was recovered in Sialkot and three drug dealers were arrested.
In 8th operation, 4.8 kg hashish was recovered from a parcel booked for Lahore through a courier office in Peshawar.
In 9th operation, 1.5 kg heroin and 600 grams ice drug were recovered from a vehicle intercepted near Sheikhupura Interchange M-2, Lahore and an accused was arrested during the operation.
Cases have been registered against the arrested accused under the Narcotics Control Act and further investigations are under process.
