RAWALPINDI, Nov 01 (APP): Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its crackdown against drug traffickers, conducting five operations across the country.
During these operations, five drug suppliers were arrested and a total of 108.61 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 11.2 million were recovered.
In Karachi, near a university in North Nazimabad, ANF recovered 36 kilograms of drugs from drug smuggler who confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.
At Islamabad International Airport, ANF officials recovered drugs hidden inside a flour kneading machine from a passenger traveling to Dubai. The seized narcotics included 1.726 kilograms of ice and 480 ecstasy tablets weighing 0.218 kilograms.
In another operation at a courier office in Gulberg, Lahore, 70 grams of drugs concealed in a pair of shoes were recovered from a parcel bound for Dubai.
Meanwhile, in an inter-provincial operation near Sher Shah Toll Plaza, Multan, ANF seized 25 kilograms of opium from a vehicle and arrested two drug pushers.
In a domestic operation near Sohrab Goth bus terminal in Karachi, 45.6 kilograms of drugs were recovered from a vehicle, and the accused was taken into custody.
All cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997.
