RAWALPINDI, Feb 04 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested five suspects and seized 14.40 kilograms of hashish worth more than Rs one million in three operations carried out in different cities, an ANF spokesperson said on Wednesday.
In an operation, 8.2 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle near the motorway toll plaza in Islamabad, leading to the arrest of two suspects. In another action, 5 kg of hashish was seized from two motorcycle riders near the Jamshoro toll plaza, while 1.2 kg was recovered from a suspect on University Road in Peshawar.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway, the spokesperson said.
