RAWALPINDI, May 29 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting seven operations across the country, recovered as many as 103.872 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 17 million and arrested seven suspects, including a Nigerian national, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Thursday.
He informed that 6 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle near a university in Jamshoro, Sindh.
The arrested accused confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.
In another operation, 56 capsules of cocaine weighing a total of 672 grams were recovered from the stomach of a Nigerian national coming from Qatar at Multan Airport.
Similarly,14.325 kg of suspected drugs were found in the luggage of a passenger going to Spain via Qatar at Lahore Airport.
As much as 6 kg of hashish and 1.2 kg of opium hidden in solar inverters in 4 parcels were recovered from a courier office at Warsak Road, Peshawar.
The parcels were to be sent to different cities in the country.
During another operation,60 kg of hashish, 3 kg of ice, 3 kg of heroin and 14.4 kg of opium were recovered from two accused in Sharqpur Road, Tehsil Ferozwala, District Sheikhupura.
As many as 6 kg of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near the National Highway Hyderabad Restaurant, and the accused was arrested.
During another operation,3.6 kg of hashish was recovered from two accused riding a motorcycle near Service Road, Natha Khan Stop, Malir, Karachi.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
