RAWALPINDI, May 30 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting six operations across the country, recovered as many as 60.229 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 40 million and arrested four suspects, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Friday.
He informed that 2 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of an accused near the university on Balili Road, Quetta district.
The arrested accused confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.
In another operation,24 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle near Kala Shah Kaku Toll Plaza, Sheikhupura in Lahore and the accused was arrested.
As many as 3.6 kg of hashish were recovered from the possession of an accused riding in a passenger bus near the Gedo Chowk in Hyderabad.
During another operation in Hyderabad, 3.6 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of a suspect.
As many as 17 grams of cocaine and 20 ecstasy pills weighing 12 grams were recovered from a parcel sent from the cargo office in Lahore to Karachi.
27 kg of heroin hidden in bushes for smuggling was recovered in the Somiani area of the Hub district.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
