RAWALPINDI, Jun 03 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting six operations across the country, recovered as many as 232.478 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 41 million and arrested four suspects, including a woman, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Tuesday.
He informed that a 55-gram cocaine-filled capsule was recovered from the stomach of a Riyadh-bound passenger at Islamabad Airport.
In another operation,24 kg of hashish and 1200 narcotic pills were recovered from a parcel sent to the UK at a courier office in Sialkot.
As many as 7.2 kg of hashish were recovered from the possession of a woman travelling in a passenger bus near the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza.
Similarly,35 ecstasy pills weighing 184 grams were recovered from the possession of a suspect near Bahria Town, Phase 4, Rawalpindi.
As much as 1 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of a suspect near Sugar Mor, Faisalabad.
During another operation, 200 kg of opium hidden for smuggling was recovered in the uninhabited area of Tozgai in Chagi.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
