ANF arrests 12 suspects, seizes over 110 kg drugs in 11 operations

RAWALPINDI, Sep 14 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday arrested 12 suspects and recovered 110.686 kilograms(kgs) of drugs worth over Rs 28.9 million during 11 operations conducted in various cities across the country.
According to ANF spokesperson, 906 grams of ice (methamphetamine) was recovered from the baggage of a passenger travelling to Jeddah at Islamabad Airport.
In another operation at Islamabad Airport, 55 heroin-filled capsules weighing 440 grams were recovered from the stomach of a passenger travelling to Italy.
At a courier office near Saddar, Karachi, 3.5 kgs of ice concealed in clothes were recovered from a parcel bound for Australia.
At Islamabad Airport, 16 cocaine-filled capsules weighing 96 grams were recovered from the stomach of a passenger travelling to Jeddah.
Near Nasir Bagh Road, Peshawar, 55.5 kgs of opium was recovered from a vehicle and two suspects were arrested.
At a courier office near Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, 5.7 kgs of ice concealed in clothes were recovered from a parcel, while one suspect was arrested.
Near Warsak Road Bus Terminal, Peshawar, 18 kgs of hashish was recovered from a vehicle and two suspects were arrested.
Near City Park, Gilgit, 9.6 kgs of hashish was recovered from a vehicle and two suspects were arrested.
At Sohrab Goth Bus Terminal, 9.6 kgs of hashish was recovered from a rickshaw and one suspect was arrested.
A suspicious bag containing 6.4 kgs of weed was recovered from a bus terminal near Hub River Road, Karachi.
Near GT Road, Rawalpindi, 80 grams of weed was recovered from a motorcycle rider.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigations are underway.
