KARACHI, Nov 24 (APP):A four member delegation led by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Kistafin, called on Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, at his office on Monday
The delegation included Consul Nurlan Rafkhat, Kazakhstan’s representative in Pakistan, Altayev Daniyyar, and Mahmood Hassan Awan, Chairman Pakistan Kazakhstan Business Council of FPCCI.
During the meeting, officials from the Karachi administration, including Additional Commissioner Karachi One, Ghulam Mehdi Shah, and Assistant Commissioner General Commissioner Karachi, Hazim Bhangwar, were also present.
Both sides emphasized increasing mutual cooperation and agreed to make joint efforts to explore new opportunities for Karachi’s development.
They discussed potential partnerships in culture, trade, environment, and economics to enhance Karachi’s development and beauty.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan appreciated the measures taken for Karachi’s development, prosperity, and beautification.
Commissioner Naqvi said that mutual cooperation is needed to explore new opportunities for Karachi’s and other cities’ development in the province.
Upon the Ambassador’s proposal, it was agreed to make Almaty, Kazakhstan’s city, Karachi’s sister city.
It was decided to approach the government and present the proposal for approval to make Kazakhstan and Karachi sister cities.
