All set to observe the 47th death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto

RAWALPINDI, Mar 29 (APP):Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Rawalpindi chapter will observe the 47th death anniversary of its founder, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, on April 4 with due reverence and respect.
In this regard, a meeting of ward committees, affiliated organizations, and party workers was held at the party office in Liaquat Bagh in the chair of PPP Rawalpindi President and Media Advisor to the Chairman Senate, Mian Khurram Rasool. The meeting was attended by PPP Punjab Vice President Rana Riffaqat Ali, former Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Malik Amir Fida Paracha, former Deputy Mayor Raja Altaf Hussain, and a large number of party workers.
Mian Khurram Rasool paid tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, describing him as a visionary and great leader who laid the foundation of Pakistan’s nuclear program, making the country’s defense invincible. He stated that Bhutto’s contributions to Pakistan’s security and sovereignty would always be remembered.
He further highlighted the sacrifices of Benazir Bhutto for the restoration of democracy and acknowledged the role of President Asif Ali Zardari in strengthening the democratic system. He emphasized that the PPP leadership has consistently struggled for democracy, supremacy of the Constitution, and the rights of the people.
According to Mian Khurrum Rasool, the main ceremony will be held at the former District Jail (Gallows site) in Rawalpindi at 11:00 AM on April 4, where collective prayers will be offered and floral tributes laid.
In addition, prayer gatherings will be organized in different parts of the city. A seminar will also be held at the Rawalpindi Arts Council where party leaders, journalists, and intellectuals will address the gathering.
