LAHORE, Aug 03 (APP):Adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives and Chairman of the Religious Affairs Committee Ali Dar on Monday said the 983rd annual Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri (RA) symbolises the timeless message of love, tolerance, devotion to Allah, reverence for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and service to humanity.
Addressing the Urs ceremony, he said Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) played a historic role in the spread of Islam and promotion of Islamic teachings across the subcontinent. Through his unwavering dedication, sincerity and profound devotion to Islam, he introduced millions to the message of the faith, while his teachings continue to promote unity, peace, harmony and brotherhood.
Ali Dar said it was a matter of great honour and privilege for him to serve during the Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA). He described the responsibility as a source of immense pride and spiritual fulfilment.
He appreciated the efforts of the Auqaf Department, district administration, law enforcement agencies and other relevant departments for making comprehensive arrangements for the Urs. He said all institutions had worked in close coordination to ensure the comfort, safety and convenience of devotees.
Ali Dar said that the Punjab government remained committed to serving pilgrims, preserving the sanctity of Data Darbar and providing every devotee with a safe, well-organised and dignified environment during the annual Urs celebrations.
