Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts holds musical evening

LAHORE, Oct 22 (APP):The Lahore Arts Council’s Academy of Performing Arts organised a musical evening titled “Shaam-e-Mouseeqi” at Alhamra, which filled the venue with rhythm, melody, and emotion.
The event celebrated the beauty of Pakistani music and the role of the performing arts in bringing people together through harmony and expression.
Renowned singers Ustad Abdul Rauf, Zaimah, Ibtisam Zahra, Sarosh Tabassum, Abrar Ahmed, and Sawera Nadeem performed classical, ghazal, and folk pieces, while young artists Usama Butt, Tahseen Sajid, Lawrence Yousaf, Joseph Yousaf, Asghar Gillani, and Atif Ali added fresh energy to the program.
Chairman Alhamra Razi Ahmed said Alhamra continues to serve as a vibrant centre of creativity and musical learning. Executive Director Mahboob Alam said music refines culture and nourishes the soul, adding that the increasing number of young artists reflects the commitment to preserving Pakistan’s musical traditions.
The audience greatly appreciated the performances, and the evening concluded with applause for Alhamra’s efforts to promote art and culture.
