MIRPUR, Jan 26 (APP):President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has taken immediate, strong notice of the alleged firing incident on the convoy of Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Speaker of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (LA), it was officially said.
President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry contacted the AJK LA speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar on the phone to inquire about his well-being besides details about the alleged mishap.
The President Barrister Chaudhry condemned the incident, stating that effective measures should be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
The AJK President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry emphasized his commitment to promoting tolerance in democracy in AJK and pledged to continue the identical approach in the future.
He also demanded that those responsible for the firing incident be immediately arrested and brought to justice.
