MIRPUR, Jul 20 (APP):Azad Jammu Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, while emphasizing the need for the lawyers’ due vibrant contribution to the Kashmir cause, said that the legal community, being a dynamic segment of society, could play a pivotal role in advocating for the rights of Kashmiris and exposing Indian atrocities in IIOJK through effective use of digital media platforms.
The AJK president expressed these views while talking to the vice chairman of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Bar Council, Advocate Uqab Hashmi, who called on him at Jammu Kashmir House in the federal metropolis on Sunday, the AJK president’s office told APP on Sunday.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest, including concerns about the legal fraternity.
President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry commended the legal fraternity for its vital role in maintaining the upholding of the constitution and the rule of law in Azad Jammu Kashmir. He also stressed the importance of ensuring speedy, affordable, and timely justice for the aspirants in the region, the president’s office said.
