AJK PM pays tribute to Benazir Bhutto

MUZAFFARABAD, Dec 26 (APP): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has paid eulogizing tributes to former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, on her 18th martyrdom anniversary.
In his special message on Friday, the AJK premier highlighted the martyred leader’s peerless contributions and her indomitable role in the socio-economic progress and prosperity of the nation.“Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed will always be remembered for her lifelong struggle for the promotion of democracy, supremacy of the Constitution, people’s rights, and the empowerment of women,” the prime minister remarked. BB Shaheed, he said, had the honour of being the first elected female Prime Minister of the Islamic world. “Her relentless struggle for the restoration of democracy in Pakistan serves as an inspiration and guiding light for the whole world,” he added, noting that Ms Bhutto Shaheed fought fearlessly against dictatorship, oppression, and extremism.
Recalling Ms Bhutto’s commitment to the Kashmir cause, the AJK premier noted that Bhutto Shaheed was a strong supporter of the Kashmiri people and their just cause of the right to self-determination.Prime Minister Rathore renewed his commitment to continue the struggle for the development and prosperity of the nation, and for safeguarding the rights of the oppressed Kashmiri people.
