MIRPUR (AJK), Mar 09 (APP): Terming the establishment of a merit-based system as his government’s top priority, Prime Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan on Thursday said that bureaucracy plays a vital role in policy implementation.

While addressing a meeting of the top officials of the government in the State metropolis, the AJK PM termed bureaucracy as an asset for the State

He said the government would take full advantage of the abilities of its officers. He said that it was essentially important that people at the helm of affairs must play their role to take the system forward and contribute towards the development of the State.

The AJK PM said that he valued the service of all those who had served the state selflessly. “Whoever is rendering services, whether in uniform or without uniform, I value him”, the AJK PM said.
