LAHORE, Nov 15 (APP): Air quality in the provincial metropolis remained in the unhealthy category on Saturday, with PM2.5 levels reaching 21.8 times the World Health Organization’s annual guideline. The persistent haze has made conditions increasingly hazardous, causing a rise in throat and chest infections, particularly among children and the elderly.
Environmental experts and medical professionals urged residents to limit outdoor exposure and stay indoors as much as possible.
Among the city’s most polluted areas were Model Town, DHA Phase 8, Burki Road, Wildlife & Parks Sandha Road, Askari 10, AC Office Shalimar Complex, Wahga, and surrounding localities.
