LAHORE, Oct 28 (APP):Air pollution remained dangerously high across several cities of Punjab, with Lahore once again topping the list of the world’s most polluted cities on Tuesday.
The city’s average Air Quality Index (AQI) hovered around 300 during the morning hours—classified as “very unhealthy.” The PM2.5 concentration in Lahore was recorded at 28.7 times higher than the World Health Organization’s annual guideline value.
Among the most polluted areas were Pine Avenue (281), Revenue Employees Cooperative Housing Society (277), DHA Phase V (263), Syed Maratib Ali Road (251), Allama Iqbal Town (239), Shalimar Link Road (234), and WWF-Pakistan (234).
