Agriculture Department starts cleanliness drive, plan for Rabi crops discussed
KOHAT, Oct 10 (APP):On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Kohat Rahimullah Mehsud and District Director of the Agriculture Department, Dr. Shakirullah Khan Marwat, the Agriculture Department started a cleanliness drive at the Circuit House in Kohat on Friday.
Under this drive, a comprehensive cleanliness plan was started and Dr.Shakirullah Khan himself reached the spot and inspected the ongoing work and gave necessary instructions to the staff.
After the cleanliness drive, Dr. Shakirullah Khan held an important meeting with Director General Agriculture (Extension Department) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Murad Ali, in which detailed consultations were held regarding the preparations for the Rabi season, availability of quality wheat seeds and other agricultural inputs.
On this occasion, a strategy was also decided for the upcoming agricultural season so that timely facilities could be provided to the farmers.
Meanwhile, Agriculture Officer Muhammad Shoaib and Field Assistant Niaz Muhammad visited the agricultural farm of Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, located in Babri Banda. On this occasion, farmers were informed about modern agricultural techniques, methods of increasing production and identification methods for cultivating new fruit plants.
