ABBOTTABAD, Nov 06 (APP):Commissioner Hazara Division Fayyaz Ali Shah has termed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agricultural Income Tax Act 2025 a revolutionary step toward strengthening the province’s economy and establishing transparency in the agricultural sector.
He said this while addressing an orientation session for revenue staff held at Jalal Baba Auditorium, Abbottabad, regarding the implementation of the new tax act.
DC Abbottabad Captain (R) Sarmad Salim Akram, Deputy Commissioner Haripur Waseem Khan, Assistant Commissioners, Girdawars, Tehsildars, and other revenue staff attended the session. A detailed briefing was given on the assessment process of agricultural income tax and the role of revenue officers.
The commissioner urged officers to ensure transparency and integrity in tax collection and to launch awareness campaigns for farmers to help them understand tax regulations, thereby fostering trust and enhancing provincial revenue.
He added that the provincial government’s policy is clear: every segment of society must contribute to national development according to its income.
