HYDERABAD, Jul 23 (APP):Provincial Advisor for Environment, Climate Change and Coastal Development Dost Muhammad Rahimoon inaugurated a newly constructed Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) at Ahmed Textile and Dyeing Factory located in SITE Nooriabad.
President of the SITE Nooriabad Association Kanwar Zia-ur-Rehman, welcomed the provincial advisor on his visit. The ceremony was also attended by the Director General of the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) Waqar Hussain Phulpoto and Regional In-charge SEPA Hyderabad Imran Ali Abbasi.
Later, Advisor Dost Muhammad Rahimoon launched a tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling at Al-Rahim Textile.
While addressing union representatives at the Nooriabad Executive Club of Industries, Rahimoon emphasized the urgent need to adopt measures to combat environmental pollution. He said the government had issued clear directives to accelerate efforts in this regard.
DG SEPA Waqar Hussain Phulpoto instructed the SEPA Hyderabad region to focus on tackling air pollution, water contamination and solid waste management under various environmental initiatives at SITE Nooriabad.
