LAHORE, Dec 02 (APP): Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, admissions have commenced at Pakistan’s first government-run autism school.
Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism, established under the Special Education Department, has officially opened its admission process for children with autism, said a handout issued here on Tuesday.
Parents can now submit admission forms online through the Special Education Department’s portal at autism.punjab.gov.pk. The school has established an Early Childhood Education section for children aged 3 to 5 years, a Junior Section for children aged 6 to 12 years, and a Senior Section for those aged 13 to 16 years.
The last date for admission registration is December 10, 2025. The initiative aims to provide quality education and specialized resources for autistic children, marking a historic step in inclusive education in Pakistan.
