PESHAWAR, Jul 16 (APP):District administration Peshawar has completed the process of the pinpointing and marking of encroachments in five major bazaars of the interior city.
The crucial process was supervised by the Assistant Commissioner (AC) city and officers and personnel of all concerned departments participated in it. The process was carried out in Kochi Bazaar, Qissa Khwani, Pipal Mandi, Charikoban and other thin bazaars of the city.
The joint team of the district administration and other concerned departments painted points in front of some shops within specific distance. Besides, these identification symbols, the photos of the shopkeepers have also been taken to demolished these encroachments on the basis of the solid proofs.
The representatives of the Capital Metropolitan Government, Civil Defense, Traffic Police, local police and other departments were also present on the occasion. The presence of the presidents of market unions and their local representatives has provided public support to the process.
The authorities of the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) were also summoned and they were given directives for the immediate repairing of the hanging and dangerous wires to save the people of any possible threat.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Sarmad Saleem Akram has said that the phase-wise and durable step will not only provide a foundation to the removal of encroachments rather the protection of the people, flow of traffic and restoration of bazaars are also being guaranteed.
He has pledged to take every possible step to make the city clean of encroachments and making it secured and livable city.
