SARGODHA, Sep 30 (APP):The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Wednesday arrested an inspector and a labor department official for receiving a Rs30,000 bribe from a citizen in Mankera.

According to a spokesperson, a resident of Mankera, identified as Nasir Abbas, submitted an application to the Regional Director ACE Sargodha region alleging that chowkidar Muhammad Younis and Inspector Muhammad Atiq-ur-Rehman of the Labor Department demanded and received Rs30,000 to refrain from issuing a challan against his diesel agency.

Upon receiving the complaint, an ACE team conducted a raid and arrested both suspects red-handed in the graft case.

Further legal proceedings and investigation against the arrested officials were initiated.
