ABBOTTABAD, Jul 15 (APP):Cantonment Police Station Abbottabad on Monday during an operation apprehended a suspect and his wife for their involvement in a recent house robbery.
The stolen items, including cash, mobile phones, and gold rings, were successfully recovered.
According to the police sources, Saraj, son of Rafiq registered an FIR about a robbery at his residence to Cantonment Police Station, SHO Cantt. Police station Shiraz Khan and his team after taking action identified and apprehended the suspects.
The suspect, Sarfraz, son of Iqbal, hailing from Aram Bagh, along with his wife, was taken into custody.
Police also recovered stolen goods which were presented as evidence and registered a case against the suspects at Cantonment Police Station.
Simultaneously, under the leadership of District Police Officer (DPO) Umar Tufail a crackdown against drug trafficking in the region was also launched led by SHO Rajoia police station Ejaz Ahmed, drug dealer Basharat son of Hanif resident of Bandha Syed Khan was arrested. Police seized a substantial amount of 2 kilograms and 361 grams of Hashish during the operation.
Following the arrest, a case was registered against Basharat under the Narcotics Act, and he has been remanded into police custody pending further legal proceedings.
