RAWALPINDI, Aug 25 (APP):Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has said the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is the centre of love, devotion and guidance for Muslims, and urged people, particularly the youth, to follow the teachings of Seerat-e-Mustafa (SAW) in their practical lives.
Addressing a Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) gathering at Jamia Masjid Sheikh Muhammad Amin in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed Awan Market, he said the teachings of Seerat-e-Mustafa (SAW) called for concealing the shortcomings of others, avoiding the spread of unverified information, respecting women and serving humanity without discrimination.
The gathering was presided over by Syed Faisal Riaz Hussain Shah, while Deputy Director Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia Pakistan, Allama Hafiz Sheikh Muhammad Qasim, supervised the event.
Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori, Syed Nauman Riaz Hussain Shah, Mufti Muhammad Iqbal Rizvi, MPA Ziaullah Shah, Syed Bashir Hussain Shah, Syed Mazhar Sajjad Gilani, members of the Peace Committee, business representatives and a large number of men and women attended.
Allama Hafiz Sheikh Muhammad Qasim said true love for the Holy Prophet (SAW) was reflected in following his teachings, reforming one’s character, promoting tolerance and forgiveness and serving humanity.
Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori said Milad gatherings reflected believers’ spiritual and emotional bond with the Holy Prophet (SAW), adding that, on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, such ceremonies were also being organised at the official level across the province.
Other speakers also highlighted the importance of translating love for the Holy Prophet (SAW) into practical conduct through good character, tolerance, forgiveness and service to humanity.
The gathering concluded with a special prayer led by Syed Faisal Riaz Hussain Shah for the security, stability and prosperity of the country and unity among the Muslim Ummah.
