SUKKUR, Aug 01 (APP):The history of police sacrifices in Pakistan dates back to the country’s inception. However, after 2001, when the wave of terrorism engulfed the nation, the Sindh Police officers and personnel stepped forward to confront the challenge. They not only faced terrorists and bandits in urban and rural areas but also laid down their lives to keep citizens safe.
The police force is the first line of defense in any society, working tirelessly to enforce law, protect the public, and maintain peace and order. Unfortunately, their sacrifices often go unnoticed.
While talking DIG Sukkur Spokesperson on Friday, the police martyrs are the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives fighting against crime, terrorism, and unrest. Whether it was bomb blasts, armed encounters, or controlling peaceful protests, they stood firm in the face of danger, he added.
Their commitment to duty and sacrifice is a testament to their bravery. The sacrifices of DSP Abdul Malik Bhutto, Inspector Abdul Malik Kamangar, Constable Saleem Chachar, and others in Ghotki’s Ronti Kacha area, and Head Constable Hanan Malik, Constable Sammi Sammo, and Constable Shafiq Gul, who were martyred together in the same area, are examples of their unwavering dedication, said Inspector Farhan.
It is mentioned over here that eery year, August 4 is observed as Police Martyrs’ Day. This day is an opportunity not only to pay tribute to the martyrs but also to acknowledge the courage and sacrifices of their families. It is a day to renew our commitment to the cause of peace and security.
The mention of police martyrs is not just an emotional tribute but a national and moral obligation. We must recognize their sacrifices and prioritize the welfare of their families. As a society, it is our responsibility to honor their memory by supporting their families and acknowledging their invaluable services.
The police force deserves respect and admiration for its role in protecting the nation. Their sacrifices should not be forgotten; instead, they should inspire us to stand united in the face of adversity. Let us honor the memory of the police martyrs by continuing their legacy of service and sacrifice.
