MURREE, Sep 21 (APP):Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement) Malik Rashid Nemat officially launched the four-day anti-polio drive across Murree district on Monday by administering vaccine drops to children at Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Executive Officer Health Murree Dr. Azhar Mahmood Abbasi, Deputy District Officer Health Dr. Maryam Ali Abbasi, and THQ Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Awais Alam. The immunization campaign will run continuously from September 21 to September 24, targeting all children aged up to five years.
Addressing the occasion, ADC Malik Rashid Nemat declared the eradication of polio a shared national obligation and urged parents to ensure their children are vaccinated to safeguard their health.
Praising front-line vaccinators operating across challenging mountainous terrain, he appealed to local communities to fully cooperate with field teams to achieve total coverage.
