SARGODHA, Oct 29 (APP):A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Muhammad Wasim here on Wednesday to review the performance of the polio vaccination campaign in Sargodha.
According to the spokesperson for Commissioner’s office, the meeting reviewed the campaign’s progress from October 13 to 16, 2025.
The meeting was informed that out of the target to vaccinate 709,266 children, 688,501 children were administered polio drops, achieving 97 per cent of the target. Polio teams reached 518,400 households out of a target of 530,000, achieving 98% coverage.
It was reported that no parent refused to vaccinate their child. The meeting also informed that a measles and rubella vaccination campaign will be launched from November 17 to 29, targeting 583,093 children aged 6 months to 5 years.
The meeting also reviewed the dengue situation, and the Deputy Commissioner directed action against institutions that have not updated their information on the dengue web portal.
