LAHORE, Jan 15 (APP):Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir disclosed on Wednesday that over 900 healthcare projects were being rapidly completed in Punjab under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
He shared this during his visit to the Arif Mahmood Dialysis and Diagnostic Hospital, Aashiana Welfare System in Raiwind here. He inspected various departments, including the pharmacy, emergency room, laboratory, dialysis ward, and RO plant at the hospital. He inquired about the availability of medicines, lab tests, and facilities for dialysis patients, announcing that all medicines would be provided free of cost to dialysis and hepatitis patients admitted to the facility.
Highlighting the government’s efforts, the minister stated that dialysis patients across Punjab are receiving free treatment through dialysis cards, a significant step towards improving public healthcare. He praised the Arif Mahmood Dialysis Hospital for its initiative in offering free treatment to dialysis patients, calling it a model for healthcare services in the province.
The minister also visited the Rural Health Center Raiwind, where he conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing revamping work. He assured that the revamping project would be completed by the end of January, enhancing the center’s capacity to serve the community.
The minister emphasized the Punjab government’s commitment to revolutionizing healthcare services and lauded Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision and leadership in achieving these milestones.
Accompanying him during the visit were CEO Health Dr. Zohaib Hassan and renowned TV actor Kashif Mahmood, who expressed their appreciation for the government’s healthcare initiatives.
