85pc target of Kissan card registration achieved

BAHAWALPUR, Sep 03 (APP):A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Ameer Taimur in the DC office regarding the registration and issuance of the Kissan card.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Hafiz Muhammad Shafiq, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Dr. Sana Ramchand, Assistant Director Agriculture Extension, representatives from Bank of Punjab, and officers from relevant departments. The Assistant Commissioners of the tehsils participated via video link.
During the briefing, Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Hafiz Muhammad Shafiq mentioned that the target for Kissan card registration has been set at 31,057, and so far, 26,432 farmers have been registered, which is 85 percent of the target. He stated that the registration of the Kissan card is being conducted online. Landowners with land ranging from one acre to twelve and a half acres can send a message from their registered mobile phone numbers for Kissan card registration. In case of any difficulties, they can contact the office of the relevant Assistant Director Agriculture Extension. The Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue stated that the Kissan card is an important initiative by the Punjab government. He emphasized that measures should be taken for the registration of farmers and the issuance of Kissan cards.
